Pregnancy Problems
During pregnancy, many women will face a whole lot of problems, and if you do, don’t worry too much, because most of those problems are natural and happen to most women and often disappear after birth. Some of those problems include:
Bleeding gums: to reduce or overcome the problem, try to use special paste for sensitive teeth, brush gently and use a good quality mouthwash.
Numbness in hands: stretching exercises throughout the day are quite helpful in this case, and try not to sleep on your hands.
Swollen feet: don’t stay standing for a long time, and when sitting, try keeping your legs higher than the rest of your body. Sleeping on the left side is also useful in this case, as well as regular exercise. Further, avoid salty foods and drink lots of water.
Heartburn: eat smaller meals at more frequent intervals, and make sure you chew the food slowly and thoroughly. Drink water between meals rather than with meals, and avoid fatty and spicy foods, as well as citrus fruit and coffee. Also, make sure you don’t eat two hours before you sleep.
Indigestion: eat smaller meals at more frequent intervals, don’t lie down after meals, and wear lose clothes.
Constipation: increase dietary fiber (i.e. fruit, vegetables, whole grain and legumes), exercise every day, and drink lots of water.
Back pain: regular exercise helps by strengthening muscles in general, avoid lifting heavy things, and put a small pillow behind your lower back when sitting and maintain a good posture. A warm bath may be useful in relieving back pain.
